The mysterious stonehenge is located in the English county of Wiltshire, about 3.2 kilometres (2.0 mi) west of Amesbury and 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) north of Salisbury.
Stonehenge was built as a temple and constructed about 5000 years ago in the period of prehistory known as the neolithic or new stone age.

Stonehenge sits within a triangle of land bordered on two sides by busy roads.
That’s way from the parking area we passed the tunnel to Stonehenge area.
We were lucky since the sun was shine when we visited stonehenge. I got the information that usualy the sky over the Stonehenge is cloudy.

The most visible elements of stonehenge are the stones themselves. Some are small, unshaped or broken. But many are massive, finaly worked and intact.
In the past, stonehenge was a simple circular temple. The archeologist found that instead of temple stonehenge also be used as a cemetery.
